Mr Rick Miller is a sports performance dietitian, functional medicine practitioner and council member for the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT). After graduating from the University of St Andrews in Human Biology, Rick obtained his Masters in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Loughborough University in 1 year and contributed to further published work in mouth-rinsing carbohydrates and running performance.
After a working as a sports nutritionist for various sub-elite and Olympic level teams Rick qualified as a registered Dietitian from Leeds Beckett University and spent several years in the National Health Service rotating through various specialities such as: orthopaedic and general surgery, gastroenterology, diabetes, paediatrics and bariatric surgery.
He has supported many athletes at major sports competitions including: Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, London 2012 Olympic Games, Baku European Olympic Games 2015 and the Islamic Solidarity Games 2017.
Rick is a sought after lecturer in Dietetics and is passionate about nutrition education. He continues to support nutrition practitioners moving into private practice and registered Dietitians embracing functional and lifestyle medicine. He is frequently cited in the national and international media on various nutrition topics.
