Professional Profile

Adam Ross is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a sub-specialty interest in small incision cataract surgery,  medical retina, uveitis  as well as general ophthalmology. He carried out his training in the UK as well as visiting fellowships in New York and Washington. He currently is the lead for the macular degeneration service and is an advisor for the ophthalmology content of the British National Formulary (BNF) and provides ophthalmology opinions for both the BNF and the children’s BNF.
Mr Ross is a Royal College of Ophthalmologists College Specialty Tutor is an Honorary University Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Bristol and is the lead coordinator and teacher for the Ophthalmology Undergraduate Teaching Programme.  He has completed various post-graduate qualifications, is a fellow of the higher education academy and continues to be actively involved in the teaching of ophthalmologists in addition to allied health professionals.
He is highly active in clinical research and is the Principal Investigator and Chief Investigator on numerous research trials within retina and uveitis and publishes regularly in the ophthalmic literature.
