Ms Payne has dedicated her training to achieve a high standard in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
She attended QMC (London University) to obtain a First class BSc(Hons) degree in Genetics, then completed her medical degree St Thomas’s and Guys hospitals in 1994 followed by a Masters degree at UCL, London. In 2007 Ms Payne became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in plastic surgery FRCS(Plast) and is listed on the GMC Specialist Register.
Two fellowships fine-tuned Ms Payne’s training: a year at Toronto General/Mount Sinai Hospitals, Canada, specializing in Microsurgery, Breast Reconstruction and Head and Neck Surgery, and another in cosmetic surgery at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
As well as being the Plastic Surgery Lead in breast reconstruction at St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospitals, her specialist area is in procedures such as breast enlargement/reduction, breast symmetrisation, lipofilling, tummy-tuck, liposuction, body sculpting and corrective surgery after massive weight-loss. She has peer-review publications, co-authored book chapters and been invited to lecture at national and international meetings on a variety of topics in aesthetic and plastic surgery.
