Dr. Paul Crowe is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist with and NHS base in Birmingham and private practices in Birmingham and London. He has special interests in vascular and urological radiology, interventional MRI and uterine artery embolisation for fibroids. He undertakes ultrasound, CT and MRI scanning as well as a wide range of minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures.
Dr. Crowe attended Trinity College Medical School in Dublin, graduating in 1988. After medical jobs in Dublin, Manchester and the Middle East he undertook 5 years of specialist training in Radiology in Birmingham followed by further sub speciality training in Interventional Radiology. He has been a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital since 1998 and is the Clinical Lead for intervention. He actively participates in teaching and research.
As one of the early adapters of uterine fibroid embolisation in the UK, Dr. Crowe, has now personally treated over 3000 fibroid patients and can also offer MRI guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) as a totally non-invasive treatment for suitable cases of uterine myomas. He is also an authority on pelvic congestion syndrome due to pelvic varicose veins.
